Great items in this box! Liz of Flora Fibers uses plants on her property, such as alder or walnut leaves, nettles, juniper, to dye organic cotton gauze scarves (colors vary from taupe to celery). Tera Ptacek makes this clutch and pouch combo in her studio in Joseph.
The bracelet comes to us from honored Nez Perce tribal member Mikailah Thompson, who writes, "Traditionally, glass beads were used during the 18th and 19th centuries amongst the Nimiipuu. Colors like blue and red were commonly used, resembling the sky and warriors' blood. Once wampum shells and brass became available, they held monetary value throughout the Columbia Plateau."
